MIM Production Control

Maintaining Quality and Batch-to-Batch Consistency in MIM

Precise customized MIM components are subject to strict production control. BestPro oversees every step of the process — from feedstock, debinding, pre-sintering and inspection — in order to ensure that parts are up to specifications on a consistent basis.

MIM Production Control

MIM Manufacturing Process

Powder & Binder Quality - Consistent density for fast production of custom parts

Injection Process Control - Part geometry up to the micron.

Debinding control - keep batches and parts reliable

Pre-Sintering - Ensuring tolerance will be kept before the full scale production.

Post Processing - CNC machined, smoothed surfaces, and heat treated to precise requirements

Metal Injection Molding (MIM) FAQ

FAQ 1–3 FAQ 4–6
1. What parts can be made with MIM?
Complex internal geometry, tight tolerance, and high-precision metal parts for automotive, electronics, medical, aerospace, and industrial applications.
4.Can you support both prototypes and high-volume production?
Yes, we offer batch-consistent MIM parts from prototyping to mass production.
2. What materials and sizes are suitable for MIM services?
Stainless steel, low alloys, copper-based alloys, titanium, and specialized feedstocks. Small to medium parts (<~250g) with high detail levels.
5. Which types of files are accepted and how can I get a quote?
DWG, IGES, STP, PDF are accepted. Submit your drawing or part specifications to receive a custom quotation.
3. How accurate are MIM parts?
Typical tolerances are ±0.3%–0.5% of the part size before secondary operations. Shrinkage (~15–20%) is planned for in tooling design.
6. What quality documentation is provided?
Dimensional inspection reports, material certificates, and process verification records are available on request.
